Theresa's Academy of Dance Students Head to National Competition

The studio will take all of its 31 acts to compete in Sandusky, Ohio in June.

The Dance competition season is underway and Theresa's Aademy of Dance already has reason to celebrate with 31 acts heading to the Showstoppers National Championships in Sandusky, Ohio this June.

The students qualified for the competition in Battle Creek March 16 and March 17. Events include four dance divisions: solo, duets, trios and super groups, which are 20 or more dancers, according to Theresa Mitchell, Academy of Dance social media director.

"We want to give many thanks to our competition choreographers, Theresa McKeon, Rachael Nardozzi, Jessica Van Voorst, Andria Carlson and Kori Snow," Mitchell said. "We also want to thank our many moms, dads and dancers that went in to making the weekend such a great success - we traveled with 31 acts, and all 31 qualified for the Showstoppers National Championships!"
