Brighton Bulldogs Team Scores

Varsity Ski

The Brighton Girls Ski Team again took first place in the Jan. 25 GS Race at Mt Brighton with a team total of 39 points. Freshman Lilia Staszel placed first, Jenna Sica 2nd and a strong showing from Junior Madison Kraning taking 18th place.

The Brighton Boys Ski Team placed third with 54 points, led by Seniors Chris Monroe in third place and Matt Shelton in 11th.

Both teams are progressing nicely to this point. Our team goal is to peak at Regionals.

The Girls Varsity Ski Team took first place out of nine teams on Jan. 22 with 36 points.

Leading the Lady Bulldogs were Freshmen Lilia Staszel, Veronica Ripper and Jenna Sica who took third, fifth and ninth places and Junior Madison Kraning who took 19th place.

The Boys Varsity Ski Team took fourth place out of 11 teams with 59 points.

Senior Matt Shelton led the Bulldogs, taking third place, followed by Junior Jordan Black taking ninth place, Senior Chris Letteer taking 22nd place and Sophomore Josh Lazzari taking 25th place.

Girls Basketball

Brighton Girls Basketball Teams triumphed over Pinckney on Jan. 25.

Varsity Bulldogs defeated the Pirates 59-36, Junior Varsity 40-34 and Fresman 50-26.

Boys Swim

The Brighton Men's Swim and Dive Team defeated Howell 107-79 in division action on Jan. 24.

Top swims were turned in by Sophomore J.D. Ham, Junior Adrian Deychakiwsky and Garrik Esayan.

Girls Cheer

The Bulldog cheer team has has an amazing few week. On Jan. 19, Brighton hosted its Brighton's Best Cheerleading Invitational where they came out on top beating state ranked East Kentwood by a large margin.

Brighton also hosted the KLAA Dual Meet Jan. 23, hosting rival Hartland. The Bulldogs pulled off another victory over a state ranked team. Currently the Eagles are ranked #1 in Division 1 competitive cheer. Brighton came out strong in the first round and didn't stop there.
