Brighton Hockey Wins Semis, Looks to Defend State Title

Brighton High School will play in the championship game Saturday night.

Brighton High School beat Detroit U-D Jesuit in the semifinals Friday night, advancing to the state championship game.

The Bulldogs won 4-1 at Compuware Arena in Plymouth.

Brighton will now defend its 2012 title by playing Detroit Catholic Central High School in the championship game Saturday at 6 p.m. at Compuware.

The Shamrocks have won seven state titles since 2000, most recently in 2010, according to the MHSAA website.

Fans can watch the game live online at MHSAA.tv or listen to it live at MHSAANetwork.com. The audio and video will also be archived for on-demand access, and CD’s and DVD’s of all games can be ordered online.
