Brighton Nation Celebrates With Bulldog Win Over Novi

Brighton football defeats Novi in season opener with a 21-10 win.

It was a day and night of fun, friends and plenty of black and orange as Brighton Nation came out to celebrate the beginning of a new year and new look at Brighton Schools.

Welcoming parents and students back for the 2013-14 school year, Brighton Area Schools organized the free tailgate to help showcase some of the new additions to the schools.

Opening up the 2013 football season with a community tailgate and "ribbon wrapping" ceremony, Brighton fans were then able to get their first look at the new football stadium as they cheered on their Brighton Bulldogs.

Thanking the community for their support, Brighton Superintendent Greg Gray addressed the crowd before kick-off.

"We thank you for allowing us to build such great facilities for our kids and our community," Gray said.

Fighting back to take the lead in the second half of the game, the Dawgs came away with their first win of the season with a 21-10 victory over Novi.
