The Brighton Bulldogs softball team was upended 7-1 by Lakeland in a KLAA crossover game Friday afternoon.
Lakeland jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning after a lead off single. The Eagles scored three runs in the fourth inning after a hit and an error.
Brighton's Marissa Isaac blasted a triple in the sixth inning to score the Bulldog's only run.

Catcher Kumi Lelei played a strong game behind the plate and chipped in with a hit for the Bulldogs. Brighton senior Morgan Pilat made the defensive play of the game with a great running catch in centerfield.
Brighton's record drops to 2-8 as they head to the Frankenmouth Invitational on Saturday.
