The Bulldogs Varsity Softball Team played well Wednesday night, sweeping a pair of games against Fowlerville.

The first game was a complete team win offensively and defensively with the final score 12-6. We had 12 runs on 19 hits. Leading the team were senior Olivia Silvestri, who went 4-4 with a double and triple while pitching a three hit game with six strikeouts. Senior Jordin Meadows and Kumi Lelei Amituanai both went 4-4 as well. Defensively, sophomore Meghan Pierce and junior Marissa Isaac were outstanding.

The second game, which ended with a Bulldog win at 6-1, saw two kids break out of hitting slumps. Brighton junior Kendall Gaiss went 3-4 while freshman Blessings Amituanai went 2-3, scoring two runs. Silvestri and Meadows combined pitching efforts, allowing only one run. Junior outfielders, Calli VanWagner, Katelyn Scrivano and Gaiss played fantastic running down flyballs and limiting extra base hits.
