Dick Thalacker was a dedicated member and leader of the
Mt. Brighton Ski Patrol. He spent 50 years in the National
Ski Patrol and more than 35 years on the Patrol at Mt.
Brighton where he served as Patrol Director for 13 years.
Dick was instrumental in helping make Mt. Brighton’s Patrol
what it is today. His efforts and dedication to the Patrol
earned him numerous awards and accolades. Dick also
served on the NSP’s National Board and was a member of
the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Dick passed
away on February 13, 2011.

The Patrol is a volunteer-based organization that promotes safe and responsible skiing/boarding for all Mt. Brighton guests, and provides first-aid in the event of injury. In addition, our members support the ski and outdoor recreation communities by providing emergency care, rescue, and education services. Monies raised from this outing will go directly to enabling the Patrol to offset costs for first-aid, education and supplies. This annual outing will further Dick’s vision and the overall mission of the Mt. Brighton Ski Patrol.
