Ecological Restoration Work Day

Come lend nature a helping hand at our Ecological Restoration Volunteer Workday!  Volunteers will use hand saws and loppers to remove buckthorn, privet, and other invasive shrubs from forest and wetland areas at Kensington Metropark.

Participants should meet in the group camp parking lot off of Martindale Rd at 10 a.m. (look for a white Metroparks truck). DO NOT go into any of the park's main entrances. We will wrap up at 1 p.m.

Park entry is free for volunteers.

Tools, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided.  Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Please register with Becky Gajewski at becky.gajewski@metroparks.com or 810-227-2757 by Thursday, Sept. 22.

Thank you for helping to protect the Metroparks' natural areas!
