To raise funds to benefit struggling Michigan military families, the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Michigan Chapter will host its third annual USA Cares Charity Ride and Classic Car Show on Saturday, July 14 from noon to 6 p.m. at Kensington Metropark (Maple Beach area).
The afternoon will begin with the motorcycle Freedom Ride from Motor City Harley to the park, and will also include BBQ, entertainment, all-day live music featuring headliner John Parr, a variety of children’s activities such as a bounce house and face painting, live and silent auctions, a classic car show, prizes and more.
Cost for the event is $25 for an individual and $50 for a family of four, which includes park admission, an all-American BBQ, assorted side dishes, ice cream and soft drinks. Beer and wine are available for an additional fee. An individual sponsorship is also available for $100, which includes an open bar and commemorative T-shirt.
Proceeds will benefit Michigan military families through USA Cares – a nonprofit military family advocate and financial support organization for post 9/11 military personnel. Corporate sponsorships are welcome.
