Downtown Brighton Prepares for Music, Summerfest Sales This Weekend
The Third Annual Brighton Americana Music Festival and Summerfest Sidewalk Sales will be held Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Third Annual Americana Music Festival and Summerfest Sales event will return to downtown Brighton on Friday and Saturday.
The event, sponsored by the , is a collaborative event that draws thousands of visitors with the sounds of bluegrass and country music while showcasing local businesses during with sidewalk sales.
The festival will run 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, with sidewalk sales beginning in the morning and music performances beginning at 7 p.m. in the municipal parking lot near . The adult beverage tent will also be located in the municipal parking lot.

There is a $5 charge for adults 21 and up to enter the concert area; individuals 20 and younger get in free but must leave at 9 p.m.
Main Street will be closed and food will be provided by downtown restaurants. There will also be childrens activities such as a rock climbing wall, face paiting and pony rides.
