Carla Sharp, Head of Youth and Teen Services at the Brighton District Library, said one of the most popular books for children ages 8-13 years old is Thodore Boone: The Accused by John Grisham.

This third book of the series was released this past May. It follows a 13-year-old boy, Theodore Boone, as he solves mysteries.
