Cheyenne: A Working Dog Looking for a New Home

Great Pyrenees - Australian Shepherd mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Cheyenne. I'm an 82 pound mix who was born on 12/18/2010.

I'm a beautiful dog that is a little shy until I get to know you. Once I do, though, I'll quickly become a lap dog! I love attention and also love to play, play, play!

I lived with small kids in my last home and did well. I do need some training in manners and also lots of daily exercise. When I get bored, I can become destructive. I did pretty well on my temperament test but did exhibit some resource guarding. I should be watched with treats, raw hides and food or anything that I think is a "prize".

I am completely house trained and know basic commands. My ideal home will have a fenced yard and also will understand my initial shyness and be willing to invest a little time in training me.

Because of my breed mix (Aussie and Great Pyr) I am looking for a "job" to do. If you don't keep me busy and occupied I will be unhappy.
