Snow Emergency in Effect for Brighton Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are four tips to help fuel your week in Brighton.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Brighton to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. In case you missed it
The City of Brighton has declared a snow emergency and until further notice, vehicles are prohibited from street parking along the City’s designated Emergency Snow Route.

2. For your information
Recognizing the increasing high costs of attending college, the MSU alumni Club of Livingston County offers an annual scholarship of $1000 to high school seniors residing in Livingston County. The funds are to be used for the purchase of textbooks, reading material, course packets, pamphlets, or other resource material required for the student’s courses while attending Michigan State University. The scholarships will be presented at the Club’s Freshman Picnic in August.

3. Helpful tips
Whether you made a promise to lose 10 pounds, run a half marathon or get back to your pre-baby weight, follow through by signing up for a gym membership.

4. At the library
  • The Brighton District Library closed for Snow Day
The Brighton District Library will be closed today, Monday, Jan. 6, due to inclement weather.
