Brighton Birth Circle Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Brighton to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Save the date

The Brighton Birth Circle is a safe, nonjudgmental forum to share experiences, ask questions, connect with members of the local birth community, or just to listen and be a part of the experience. Facilitated by Childbirth Educator and expectant mom, Jenn D'Jamoos, CCCE. Hosted monthly by Bloom Baby and Kids, Brighton's natural parenting store.

2. At the library
On January 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Roy Schwarz, PhD, is a consultant, photographer, college instructor, traveler and an active member of the Michigan Sierra Club Crossroads Group.  His journeys have taken him to many places, including the famed Inca Trail and Machu Picchu in South America.

3. For the kids

Come out to the farm and join the teamsters in harnessing and hitching  draft horses and then enjoy a wagon ride through farm fields. Ask questions and learn about these majestic equine. Participants should be older than age 6. Fee: $5 per person. Preregistration required. Call 586-752-5932 to register.

4. For your information
Are you looking to hire an interior decorator in 2014? Come out for a night of fun to see some dramatic room makeovers and learn more about how we can help you transform your space into something special.
