One of the few ski resorts in the Detroit Metro area, Mount Brighton is a year-round facility with a family-oriented atmosphere. In the summer months, the Jackal Golf Club offers 18 holes of play. As for skiing, the resort is suitable for everyone from beginners to the advanced with a 15 acre progressive terrain park. There are 26 different ski trails on 130 skiable acres here, along with 7 chair lifts and 11 surface lifts. The longest run is 1,500 feet. The resort offers ski lessons and clinics for both skiing and snowboarding, rents equipment such as skis, boots, snowboards, helmets, etc., and provides lockers visitors may rent to store their belongings while enjoying the site's activities. There are several places to eat on-site, such as the Pizza Parlor and Cafe and The Bauery Bar and Grill (a full service, sit-down restaurant which is also open in the summer months). The Chairlift Ski Shop, also on-site, offers winter apparel and equipment repairs and tuning, and the Hot Wax Cafe sells hats, gloves, goggles, sunglasses, headbands and other accessories, as well as providing ski and snowboard repairs, waxing and sharpening.
