The mission of Spencer Elementary is to develop every child's ability to succeed. The school houses junior kindergarten through fourth grade. Core areas of study include English language arts, math, science, social studies and health. Students also receive weekly instruction in art, music, physical education and media. Parents play a key role at Spencer by participating in family picnics, open houses, book fairs, music programs, ice cream socials, read-ins and the annual Spencer Auction, Fall Festival and Fourth Grade Farewell and Field Day. Spencer has extensive playground facilities. The principal is Mary Williams.
