Local Church Christens New Home
2|42 Community Church held its first services in its new Genoa Township building this past weekend.
More than 2,150 people attended 2|42 Community Church over the weekend as the church held its first services in its brand new building, The Common’s, located at 7526 W. Grand River Ave. in Genoa Township. That's almost 1,000 more people that regularly attended while the church was meeting at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts at Brighton High School. Lead Pastor Dave Dummitt said Livingston County needed a third-place, somewhere other than home or work to meet with friends and neighbors. “That's exactly what the church has set out change,” he said in a press release. “We want this to be a church that extends beyond Sunday morning, reaching out beyond our regular church attendees.
