Tweaks in New Teen Driving Rules Now in Effect

I have an update for you regarding the Level Two, Graduated Drivers License (GDL) that affects teenage drivers. Back in March 2011 the Level Two GDL license came out with new restrictions regarding driving times and activities for Level Two GDL drivers. When these restrictions took effect, there were issues brought to the Michigan Legislature's attention regarding the restrictions and how some were detrimental to families and Level Two GDL drivers.  In March 2011, the Michigan Legislature addressed these issues and made changes to the GDL law in regards to Level Two drivers.  The new changes in the Level Two GDL took effect on July 20. What is considered “while going to or from an authorized activity”? Is that left to interpretation? I do not like vague wording like that because 1 person may understand it as one way and another person another way?   more ›
