Brighton Prepares to Tell the Tale of 'Beauty and the Beast'

Performances for Brighton's "Beauty and the Beast" begin Friday with 7 performances through May 5.

By Mike Larsen Disney magic joins forces with Brighton Musical Theater, and the result is enchantment worthy of Broadway! It takes a whole village to produce an enchanted musical! Brighton High School Musical Theater is performing Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, April 26 through May 5. Over a hundred Brighton High School students are rehearsing their acting, singing, dancing, and technical details daily, building and painting sets, selling tickets and program advertising, managing the show’s social media, and preparing the “front of the house” for the show. Parent and community volunteers are involved in every phase of the backstage and offstage portions of the production.  Most everyone …

Behind the Scenes of Brighton's Beauty and the Beast

There's lots of cool stuff going on in and around Brighton. Luckily, some of it is posted on YouTube. Each week, Brighton Patch will highlight a YouTube video posted about the Brighton area. This week's pick features a backstage look at Brighton High School's upcoming performance of Beauty and the Beast. Brighton High School Spring Musical Tickets Now on Sale

Disney's "Beauty & The Beast" show dates are set for April 26-28 and May 2-5 at the Brighton Center for Performing Arts.

Tickets are now on sale for the Brighton High School Spring Musical, Disney's Beauty and The Beast. According to the Brighton Musical Facebook page, purchasing a ticket to one of the eight shows will save you $5 off a purchase of $25 or more at several downtown Brighton restaurants.  Participating restaurants include Champ's Pub, Downtown Main Martini Bar & Grill, 440 Main, Sagano Japanese Bistro & Steakhouse, Pi's Asian Cuisine, Stillwater Grill, Brighton Bar and Grill, Ciao Amici's, The Wooden Spoon and The Pound Bar & Grill.  Musical Theater Technical Director Josh Holowicki said they have some technological tricks up the sleeve to pull of the 'magic' that happens in the Disney fairytale.  The greatest love story ever told will grace …
