Democratic insiders feel more optimistic about President Barack Obama’s chances of winning Michigan in November's presidential election: that’s the finding of this week’s Blue Mitten survey of influential Democrats. Thirty-one Democrats from the southeastern Michigan area were asked, using an automated survey tool, their opinions about the presidential election following the Democratic and Republican conventions. Twenty-three responses were collected. Twenty-one influencers said they were more confident about Obama’s chances of winning Michigan then they were before the conventions. Thirty-one Democrats from the southeastern Michigan area were asked using an automated survey tool what they thought about Romney’s selection of Ryan as his GOP running mate. Democratic Michigan insiders said President Barack Obama’s auto bailout will help his chances in the state in the November election: that’s the finding of this week’s inaugural Blue Mitten survey of influential Democrats. Twenty-nine Democrats from the southeastern Michigan area were asked using an automated survey tool what they thought about how the auto bailout will affect Obama’s standing among Democrats and independents in Michigan.
