14-Year-Old Eagle Scout Honored at City Council Meeting
Brighton High School Freshman Jack Wisbiski recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Brighton City Council honored yet another newly minted Eagle Scout from Troop 350 during its meeting last week. 14-year-old Jack Wisbiski, a freshman at Brighton High School, was acknowledged by City Council members for earning the highest rank in Boy Scouts. To earn an Eagle Scout rank, a boy scout must earn 21 merit badges, serve six months in a troop leadership position and plan and develop a community service project. For Wisbiski's Eagle Project, he built a boardwalk on the Penosha Hiking Trail in the Brighton Recreation Area. "Every year in the spring, the trail would flood and turn into a swamp," he said.
