Brighton Travel Softball Wins Local Tournament

Travel team tryouts and a Varsity Softball team skills clinic will be held this week.

-Submitted by Coach Rob Barr The Brighton Travel Softball program, which is a part of the Brighton Youth Baseball Softball Program, took another giant step forward on July 14 and July 15 by winning the Jeannine Dufault Tournament held in Brighton. The 14u Brighton Softball Team played their best softball of the season to become the first Brighton team to win its own tournament. “A lot of hard work, dedication and tenacity were a part of this magical way to end the season”, Coach Rob Barr said. "We found ourselves having to play three games on Sunday - back to back to back. Seven hours of straight softball in 95 degree weather is a tough thing, however the girls overcame a lot.
