Brighton Township Board of Trustees Meets Today

The board will discuss wages and salaries for board members and the township managers as well as a a lease with BAFA for Fire Station 33.

The Brighton Township Board of Trustees will meet for its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Township Hall.  Items on the agenda include:

Brighton Township Says Farewell to Deputy Clerk

Deputy Clerk Lucille Weaire's officially retires on Wednesday

Though Brighton Township Deputy Clerk Lucille Weaire will be retiring from her position with the township as of Wednesday, she won't be going very far. In fact, Weaire plans to run for election to the Brighton Township Board of Trustees this year. "I thought, OK, we've got a terrific elections committee, so that's under control," she said. "I didn't want to compromise that office, with my name on the ballot, touching the ballots, processing, handing, sending them out, I just didn't want to compromise that office. Weaire began working with the township as a part time employee in 2003.
