Miss Gobbles Needs a Safe, Forever Home

Miss Gobbles is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Miss Gobbles. I was born around 8/2011 and then adopted in 4/2012. I'm back at the shelter because my owner is pregnant. I'm not sure why I couldn't stay. I am a great girl who loves attention when I'm in a home. I'm just a little scared here so I hope I get adopted soon. I've lived in a home with small kids but much prefer older kids and adults. I've always been the only pet so I'm not sure how I would do with other animals.

Black Jack is Full of PURR-sonality and Will Keep You Entertained

A black, male cat is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

They call me Black Jack and I am quite an interesting fellow. I am a very cool, sleek, male cat with Bombay characteristics born around May 2009. I have been living at the Humane Society most of my life so the staff knows me well. I am very friendly, super playful, and can be quite entertaining. I like to keep active so would do best in a home with another young active cat, kitten, or tolerant dog who would play with me. It would be really great if you could adopt me along with a new kitten or one of my cat pals from the cage-free room! I do not really like to be picked up or held so would not interact well with small kids. I hope someone will give me the lucky break I deserve soon for a forever home!

Happy-Go-Lucky Scrappy Would Make a Fun Forever Friend

Scrappy is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello! My name is Scrappy! I'm a young adult, probably 1 1/2-2 years old, who was found as a stray. I was rescued from a busy roadway and brought to safety. No owner ever came forward to claim me so now I'm looking for a new forever home. I weigh about 40 pounds and am a happy-go-lucky type of guy. I'm a high energy dog right now but need to be kept as quiet as possible for a bit. I tested positive for heart worm and will need to be treated. The HSLC does this free of charge at the shelter for whomever adopts me. Until I finish my treatment I am supposed to have restricted activity such as being walked on a leash. I did well on my temperament test aside from the cat portion and other dogs. The staff said absolutely no cats for me and that …

Scrappy seems to have the odds stacked against him but I would like to throw my 2 cents in on his behalf. His pit bull blood line will be hinder his chances , but we have one at home that is the sweetest, most friendly pooch I've known. Scrappy just needs patient training, guidance and love.   more ›

A Cat Named Bear Needs a Forever Home

A short-haired black cat is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Bear. I'm a short-haired handsome black cat who was found as a stray. Since I was not claimed by my former owner, I'm now looking for my forever home. I am guesstimated to have been born around 3/2011. I'm sweet and friendly with everyone I've met so far. Because I was a stray, the staff is unsure if I've ever been around other animals or kids in the past.

Need a New Friend? Try Phoebe

A short-haired dilute calico is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Phoebe. I am a short-haired dilute calico who was born around 2008. I was given up by my owner because someone in the home had allergies to me. I am a very sweet cat but am shy at first. When I first get into a new situation, I will take time to warm up. Once I do, I act like a dog and love to interact with my human. I've been around all ages of kids and have also lived with another cat.

Friendly Tri-Pod Needs a New Home

A brown tiger cat is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Tri-Pod and, if you guessed I'm missing a leg, you're correct! I was born around 2007 and am a very large girl. I would certainly benefit from weight loss as I could groom myself better and not have to hold up so much weight on 3 legs. I was in my last home with another cat and got along just fine with her. We didn't like the new dog so we ended up living in the basement and were very unhappy. My owner decided to keep the other cat who was 17 years old and had little chance of being adopted. There were children in my last home and my owner reported that I did well with them. I'm a brown tiger cat with calico markings.

Pretty Petunia Needs a Loving Home

A sweet cat is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Petunia. I'm as pretty as the flower after which I was named, too. It's estimated that I was born around 2008. When I was left at the shelter, my fur was so badly matted that I had to be shaved. My fur will grow back. I am a sweet girl who would likely get along with other animals and children in a new home.

Romeo the Cat is a Lover Looking for Love

Romeo is a female short-haired cat who is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Romeo although Juliet would be more appropriate. I'm a female who was found as a stray. The people who found me and took care of me thought I was a male. They named me Romeo because I'm such a lover. It doesn't matter what you call me, though, I'll respond to anything especially when you have attention you want to give. I was around young children and also dogs and other cats. I have a birth date sometime around 4/2011.
