Have you ever been lost?  Yeah, me neither, but I have been exploring a couple of times. Now ask yourself, if the road I take to go home or work is closed for some reason, could I still drive myself home or to work? I know some of you are thinking; do I know another way to get to where I need or want to be?    There may be times when the roads you travel to your home are closed for a variety of reasons; road construction/maintenance, crash investigations, fire scenes, crime scenes or some other emergency, just to name a few. And it is not uncommon for some people who have forever traveled only one way to a destination to be entirely and completely befuddled when that route is closed.  I would suggest we all explore another route to our …

Crime Report: Gun Reported Stolen from Hartland Township Home

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On June 4, a gun was reported stolen sometime between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the 9000 block of Pine Hill Trail according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s office. According to the report, a Hartland Township man returned home and noticed the light on in his daughter’s bedroom. After checking the room, the man noticed some of her gun equipment out. He sent his daughter a text message asking if she was planning on going shooting and she replied that she didn’t know what he was talking about.  The man then searched his home, according to the police report, and discovered the sliding door in the kitchen slightly open and broken. Crime Report: Unknown Male Enters Home in Hartland

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Thursday, a Hartland man reported that at approximately 4:20 p.m., a blue model Saturn was parked in his driveway in the 1300 block of Honolulu Court in Hartland with a female driver inside.  According to the police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s office, the man said he approached the woman, asking her why she was parked in his driveway. She replied that the house belonged to her boyfriend’s cousin. He advised her it did not and entered his house where he found a male exiting his bedroom. After exchanging some words, the Hartland man checked his bedroom while the male suspect ran from the scene. According to the report, the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked front door. Exactly my sentiment - sounds like homeboy knew that the guy had all this expensive stuff. Just like how when you read the crime reports out of Flint: "homeowner was gone for approximately half an hour and a 45" plasma screen tv, two game consoles, a Rolex watch, and $5,000 in cash was stolen." Crime Report: Rash of Vehicle Break-Ins in Hartland Township

The following information was supplied by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A rash of vehicle break-ins occurred in Hartland Township last week, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's department. Several residents in the area of Lake Pines Drive and Long Lake Drive reported damages to their cars and items stolen. On May 8, a Hartland Township man on the 300 block of Lake Pines Drive reported that between 11 p.m. May 7 and 5 a.m. May 8, the sliding rear window of his 2011 Ford F-150 had been damaged but no items had been stolen from the vehicle. On May 8, a Hartland Township man on the 300 block of Lake Pines Drive reported that between the hours of 11 p.m. May 7 and 7:30 a.m. May 8, his son’s car had been broken into while parked in the driveway.
