What Was Your Favorite Super Bowl Commerical?

Did you skip the commercials? Here's an easy way to catch up on those most talked about.

From the Taco Bell Viva Young to the Doritos Goat and Fashionista Daddy and Kia's Space Babies, the Super Bowl commercials offered plenty to talk about. Like Jeep's "Whole Again" tribute to our military men and women and Dodge Ram's God Made a Farmer. Even Go Daddy's Sexy/Smart commercial became a talker on Brighton Patch's Facebook page, though the majority of people wrote it was gross. However, the 35 minute power outage could beat out the top commercials as most talked about after the Super Bowl this year. Advertisers paid an average of $3.8 million for each 30 seconds of air time, according to USA Today. You can re-watch some of the most popular commercials above. What was your favorite commercial? Tell us why in the comments below.

Super Bowl 2013: Where to Watch in Brighton

Where in Brighton do you plan to watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Baltimore Ravens for Super Bowl XLVII?

It's already being called the Harbowl: a Super Bowl clash between San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh and Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh. The Harbaughs are the first pair of brothers to work as head coaches in the NFL, and they'll square off for Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3.  This year, Michigan has a few connections to the big game, many of them with the 49ers. San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh was a star quarterback at the University of Michigan in the 1980s. Another former Wolverine is Jonathan Goodwin, a center for the 49ers. Michigan State also has representatives in Garrett Celek, a tight end for the 49ers, and Trenton Robinson, a safety for the 49ers. In addition, San Francisco offensive tackle Joe Staley played football at …

Mini Taco Bowls with Global Warming Salsa and other Super Bowl Recipes

Getting ready for the big game Sunday? Here are some recipes that are perfect for your football gathering.

Sunday, Feb. 3, millions will tune in to watch one of the biggest sporting events of the year, the Super Bowl. Don't let your party guests starve, check out these easy to make Super Bowl recipes. This recipe is inspired by White Lake-Highland Patch Readers Paulette Gollan and Dan Houston. Gollan said, "I use a mini muffin pan, wonton wrappers, seasoned ground beef, shredded cheese and green onions. Bake for 10 minutes. YUM!" Top them off with some Global Warming Salsa, a local White Lake product, and Houston said you have yourself the perfect snack. I didn't have wonton wrappers or a mini muffin pan on hand, so I tweaked Gollan's recipe a bit and used some tortillas instead. I also used light or fat free ingredients to make these mini …

Super Bowl Snacks: Original Skyline Chili Dip

Need recipes for your Super Bowl party? Check out these dips and easy-to-make dishes.

Due to an unfortunate accident at a roller rink that resulted in a sprained ankle and crutches, this week's column is going to be a little different. I am, unfortunately, not as mobile on crutches as I had hoped I would be, so I haven't been able to cook for this week's column. However, I do have a delicious new recipe that's perfect for Sunday's big game. Birmingham Patch Editor Laura Houser, an Ohio native, was the first to introduce me to Skyline chili dip. It's a wonderful blend of beef and spices, including cinnamon, that when mixed with shredded cheddar cheese and cream cheese, creates a very addictive warm dip that's easy to make and easy to serve. The only caveat of this recipe is that you need a can of Skyline chili. This is sold …
