Brighton Preschools, Church Help Collect Food for Movers for Meals
Collected food was donated to Gleaners Food Bank to distribute to families in need this holiday season.
The second annual Two Men and a Truck Movers for Meals Program parnered with more than 50 schools and churches around the state to collect more than 500 pounds of food this holiday season, including three Brighton locations: Maple Tree Montessori, Rainbow Child Care and the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton. All non-perishable food items were donated to Gleaners Food Bank. Jeff Scott of Two Men and a Truck said the company first came up with the idea while looking for something to compliment its spring campaign, Movers for Moms. "We specifically target women in shelters during the mothers day holiday," he said. "We wanted something to piggy back on that for the fall.
