American Flags Salute Veterans on Main Street

The Brighton Kiwanis Club and City of Brighton decorated downtown Brighton with American Flags in honor of Veterans Day.

Members of the Brighton Kiwanis Club joined Brighton DDA and Community Development Director Matt Modrack to line Main Street in red, white and blue in honor of Veterans Day. The group installed American Flags on light posts on both sides of the street early Friday morning.

Brighton Businesses Honor Vets With Free Meals, Deals

Veterans Day is Sunday, Nov. 11.

One way to thank a veteran, according to many businesses: Give them a free meal. Heading up to Veteran's Day on Sunday, Nov. 11, here's a look at some Brighton businesses offering free food, discounts and even Slurpees to veterans and servicemembers, courtesy of themilitarywallet.com. Applebee’s: Applebee’s is again offering a free meal to military veterans and active-duty service members on Nov. 11. There will be 7 entrées to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included.
