5 Creative Classes Coming Up From BCE

Here are five classes to know about being offered through Brighton Community Education.

  1. Create PHOTOGRAPHY - "Photography with Monte Nagler", Monday, October 21st, 6-10pm, Go from simply taking snapshots to making photographs.  Learn about depth of field, flash, filters, composition, how cameras work and more.  Mr. Nagler will demonstrate the principles of good photography through the viewing of photographs from his personal collection.  All kinds of  cameras are welcome.  Mr. Nagler studied with Ansel Adams and has works in many private collections including the DIA.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!
  2. Create DRAWINGS - "Learn to Draw Series for Adults", Monday October 22, October 29, and November 5, 6:30-8:30pm.  Learn the basics of drawing with award winning instructor Donna Roskamp.  This series will cover values, contrast, shape, grids and resizing and drawing from photographs.  A supply fee of $10 is payable the first day of class and will cover all supplies.  Supplies include pencils, drawing pad, erasers, photo references, etc.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!
  3. Create MUSIC - "Instant Piano for Busy Adults" - Wednesday, October 30th, 6-9:30pm, You can learn enough in this one workshop to play almost any pop song on piano with two hands.  Then go on to perfect your technique at home using a home study CD.  This is the system the pros use - chords, not tedious not reading!  Material fee of $25 for book & CD payable to instructor at class.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!
  4. Create MOVIES - "Indie Feature Film-Making" Saturday, October 26th, 1-4pm, This three-hour class is an essential guide to becoming an indie filmmaker.  It will give an overview of a typical "guerilla" production, from coming up with an idea to organizing the production, what equipment you need to shoot and edit your movie, casting actors, getting a crew, avoiding pitfalls and ultimately distributing your feature to your audience.  This overview will prepare you for the hardest job you'll ever love.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!
  5. Create DINNER - "Chinese Szechuan Cuisine" Monday, October 21st, 7pm, Based on some of the most popular dishes from his restaurants, this class will introduce you to some delicious and healthy Szechuan meals with Chef Tom Lin.  We will be making a ginger garlic chicken and Hunan beef.  These dishes can be prepared in a short period of time - great for when you have limited time to cook! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!
