Register Now for Brighton's 2013 Independence Day Parade 'Home of the Brave, Land of the Free'

Nothing says summer like fireworks, red, white and blue, and Brighton’s annual 4th of July parade and celebration.

The month of June will be over before you know it, so parade organizers are busy planning this year’s event.

The theme of the 2013 Brighton Independence Day parade is “Home of the Free, Land of the Brave,” and all organizations and businesses are invited to participate.

Registration forms and payments are due June 18 and can be sent to parade sponsors, at the Livingston County Sunrise Rotary Club.

Parade trophies will be awarded in three categories including:

  • Most Patriotic
  • Most Musical
  • Most Creative
According to the parade website, the parade will begin at the BECC (old Scranton School) at the corner of Main and Church Streets at 10 a.m. The parade will proceed west on Main Street to 7th Street, then south on 7th Street to end at the Brighton High School parking lot.

Shuttles will be available between BECC and parking at the High School.
