Fortunately, that baby was so feisty, he was able to climb up the rocks and made it back to his frantic mother. Never thought to run across the street for help. Good job Wildernest!

Three cheers for Robert! That's a new brood on the pond. They are just a couple of days old. IRead More haven't been able to find and photograph them for my mill pond blog yet. Not counting these tykes, 108 ducklings have hatched in 16 broods on the Brighton mill pond this year since May 15th. More will follow. In 2012, we had a total of 179 hatch from April through July.
