Video: Brighton Hosts U.S. Jump Rope Trials Qualifying Tournament

Four Jumpin All Stars Teams qualified to the U.S. Jump Rope Team, which will compete in the World Tournament in Tampa, Florida.

The City of Brighton played host the U.S. Jump Rope Qualifying Tournament for the first time over the weekend.

Teams from all over the country came to Brighton to compete in the trials to find out which members would join the U.S. Jump Rope Team to compete in the World Tournament in Tampa, Florida from July 30 to Aug. 9.

The Jumpin All Stars, the team from Brighton, had four teams competing in the trials, which were held at Scranton Middle School Friday afternoon and Brighton High School all day Saturday. Results were announced Sunday morning.

All four Jumpin All Star participating teams qualified for the U.S. Team, according to Renee Nix, Jumpin All Stars' coach.

"I'm still in shock," Nix said.
