5 Youth Programs Coming Up from Brighton Community Ed

Check out these five classes now available at Brighton Community Education.

1. CARTOONING WORKSHOPSep 24 and 27, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., Hawkins & Hilton, Students will learn to draw great cartoons through simple instruction and games, students will take home a updated booklet with new cartoons!  This is a one-day workshop being offered right after school at Hawkins (9/24) and Hilton (9/27) Elementary.

2. YOUNG CHAMPIONS CHEERLEADING, Starts Sep 25, every Wednesday until Dec 18th, Miller Building, Young Champions Cheer is a fun and exciting program for students age 4-15 with or without previous experience. Learn jumps, kicks, arm motions, stunts, cheers, chants, and learn a pom dance routine. Four different leveled programs are offered for all ages/abilities!

3. YOUTH DANCE CLASSES, Start Sep 27, every Friday until Nov 1, BECC Building, Three different youth dance classes are offered for kids of all ages!  Baby Ballet and Tap is offered for ages 2.5 to 3 year olds, Rhythmic Dance-Ballet/Jazz/Tap is offered to 4-6 year olds, and Hip Hop Jazz Jam is suited for 7-11 year olds!  All classes taught by The Studio and held at the B.E.C.C. Building.

4) EXTREME SCIENCE! ENRICHMENT PROGRAM, Starts the week of Sep 30, right after school 1 day per week for 6 weeks.  One session of this 6-week program is being held at every Elementary School and will introduce students to creepy, crawly bugs, walloping weather, drag racers, detective science, movie effects, and much more.

5) BATON TWIRLING, Starts Oct 2, runs ever Wednesday until Nov 27, Spencer Elementary, Twirling is great for coordination and fitness!  Have fun learning basic baton twirling routines.  The Level 1 program teaches fun, basic twirling skills & routines, and no prior experience is necessary. Competitive Prep Class and Private Instruction sessions are also available.
