Metroparks Golf Courses to Participate in 2014 Michigan Municipal Golf Trail

Eight Huron-Clinton Metroparks Golf Courses will be participating in the 2014 Michigan Municipal Golf Trail.

Participating Metroparks Golf Courses include Hudson Mills (Dexter), Huron Meadows (Brighton), Indian Springs (White Lake Township), Kensington (Brighton), Lake Erie (Brownstown), Stony Creek (Shelby Township), Willow (New Boston) and Wolcott Mill (Ray Township).

The Municipal Golf Trail (MGT) is a service of the Michigan Recreation and Park Association that provides access to 25 (and counting) of Michigan’s most scenic municipal courses, as well as discounts, deals and the chance to win free rounds of golf at each of the MGT courses.

“This is a great opportunity to play some of the best municipal golf in Michigan,” said Hudson Mills and Huron Meadows Park Operations Manager Jerry Cyr. “These golf courses were built by the people for the people, and this program allows golfers to rediscover some great municipal courses.”

Registration for the Municipal Golf Trail is completely free, and all registrants will receive a player card to use at participating locations. The MGT card will unlock unique discounts and packages at each course. Each time a golfer presents his/her MGT card, rounds played will be tracked for a chance to win even more prizes.

Every golfer that plays a round at nine of the MGT courses will be entered into a drawing for one complimentary round at each of the Municipal Golf Trail courses. (Rounds, including card rental, equals a $1100 value). Additionally, every golfer that plays a round at 18 of the MGT courses will be entered to win two complimentary rounds of golf at each MGT course. (Rounds, including card rental, equals a $2200 value).

The Municipal Golf Trail Card offer is not available for senior golfers (55+ at Hudson Mills, Lake Erie and Willow; 62+ at Huron Meadows, Indian Springs, Kensington, Stony Creek and Wolcott Mill) due to special senior discount rates.
