Ladies' Day at Fowlerville Fair

Monday, July 25th is Ladies' Day at the Fowlerville Fair, with free admission for all from 9 a.m. to 4 pm. sponsored by Fowlerville Ford.

The new Fowlerville Family Fair logo contest winner will be unveiled at 2 p.m. in Finlan Gazebo, arriving via sponsor Perfection Limousine Service, and the 2011 Fowlerville Family Fair Queen Contest begins at 3:30 p.m., sponsored by Tanger Outlet Mall.

Livingston County Farm Bureau's Beginning of Life exhibit is open all day, as is the 4-H Hands-on Learning Experience starting at 10 a.m. in the little red barn.

Events at 9 a.m. include: 4-H Poultry Show (Meat Birds) and 4-H Poultry Showmanship in the small animal barn as well as the 4-H Goat Show in the livestock arena. At 9:30 a.m., enjoy Ladies’ Day Coffee and Doughnuts in Finlan Gazebo.

4-H Judging Food Preparation and Food Preservation takes place from 9:45 a.m.-3 p.m. in the 4-H Building.

Ladies’ Day events start at 10 a.m. in Finlan Gazebo, including "Saving Centsibly" with Tracey from WHMI - guest speaker "It's Your Money... Keep It!" - presented by Fowlerville Ford; the 2011 Homemaker of the Year announcement, an OLSHA weatherization/energy saving presentation and prize giveaways as well as a luncheon served at about 11:30 a.m. 

Commercial and food vendors open at 11 a.m.; First Bite Fishing sponsored by Edward Jones, and open the rest of the day, starts at noon as do

Fowlerville Band Boosters in the Bingo Gazebo and Harness Racing in the grandstand with free admission due to sponsors Alchin's Disposal, American Chemical Technologies & RheTech.

After lunch, enjoy the 4-H Poultry Show (Show Birds) at 1 p.m. in the small animal barn; Chase's Racing Pigs, sponsored by RheTech, also perform at 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. At 2 p.m., take in the Llama/Alpaca Show in the Livestock Arena. 4-H Weighing of Market Livestock takes place at 3:30 p.m. 

The midway opens at 4 p.m.

Also featured are My Adventure Theater - Sponsored by Jimmy John's of Howell, at 5:30 p.m. and Thumb Pullers-Truck and Tractor Pull in the grandstand (cost for the pull is $10 per person).

(Note that regular admission to the fair is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for  children ages 6-12 and free for kids under 5. Grandstand events are $10 per person each night.)
