Library Hosts 11th Annual Springfest

Family Fun at Eleventh Annual Springfest Celebration

The Brighton District Library announces the arrival of springtime with its eleventh annual Springfest celebration for families Sunday, June 5 from 1-4 p.m.

Families can join the festivities in Millie’s kid-friendly garden outside the library’s youth department, where children will enjoy ice cream treats, balloons and jumping fun in a bounce house castle.  Stop by the miniature reading house to read a favorite storybook or stroll through the garden, fragrant with blooms.

Inside the library, stations will be set up for children’s face painting.  Mehndi, a form of skin decorating originating from India, using henna, as well as other crafts, will be available for teens.

Beginning at 1 p.m., kids and adults will be impressed by Amazing Clark’s Magic Carpet Show featuring magical illusions, suspense and puppetry.  Then, step back in time at 2 p.m., for the Jesters Barbershop Quartet where oldies and favorite songs will be sung.

Springfest is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brighton District Library, a non-profit organization that supports the Library throughout the year through used book sales and memberships
