Artist Barbara Markham, of Rochester, agreed.
“Its been excellent. I’ve sold two very large paintings today so far,” she said.
Greg Searcy of Indian River said he couldn’t even get his stock off of the truck before he made a couple of sales on a pair of wooden adirondack chairs designed like fish.
The Festival has benefited some local businesses as well.
“Today we had a pretty good day,” Haley Sherman of Impulse said, pointing out that business during past events had been slower.
Wendy Busick, manager of finance for the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, was happy to see that the morning rain had stopped.
“We finally have a good day with a nice breeze,” she said.
