A beer dinner features a number of courses of food paired by the brewmaster with a specific beer that goes with each course.  The brewmaster discusses each beer as it is served – how its made, what the flavor profile is, and why he thinks it pairs well with that course that is being served.

Bells Brewery is the most popular brewery in the state, and they will be featured at Boomtown on 4/21/2011. We hope you’ll be joining us! Be sure to RSVP with a manager next time you are in, or call for your reservation!

1st Course:

Seared Shrimp and Sauteed Mussels

With Melon and Citrus Salsa

Bell’s Oarsman Ale – Designed as a flavorful session beer, Oarsman Ale uses a classic German Brewing technique to impart a light, refreshing tartness. Oarsman Ale grew out of a desire to explore the tradition of session beers, trading intensity for finesse while still creating a worthwhile experience for the taster. 4.0%abv

2nd Course:

Rotisserie Chicken Chopped Salad

With Citrus and Oberon Vinaigrette Salad

Bell’s Oberon – is wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy op character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer. 5.8%abv

3rd Course:

BoomTown Meatball

With Grana Padano Beurre Blanc and Coconut Rice

Bell’s Porter – Brewed with a generous mix of chocolate malt and roast barley, our Porter matches subtle coffee aromas to a solid malt finish. 4th Course

Sausage and Peppers Pie

With Spicy Fennel Sausage, Cherry Bomb Peppers and house made sauce

Bell’s Two Hearted Ale – is defined by its intense hop aromas and malt balance. Hopped exclusively with the Centennial hop varietal from the Pacific Northwest, massive additions in kettle and again in the fermenter lend their characteristic grapefruit and pine resin aromas. 7.0%abv

Dessert Course

Chocolate Espresso Brownie

With French Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Bell’s Special Double Cream Stout – derives its name from its smooth, creamy texture, not the ingredients. Completely dairy-free, this stout blends eight different specialty malts to yield a remarkable depth of flavor. With only a touch of burnt notes, Double Cream Stout focuses on the softer, cocoa and espresso like aspects of roasted malt. 6.1%abv
