1. The weather

There will be patchy fog today before 8 a.m., then sunny with a high of 75 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 50 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Impulse Trunk Show/Open House

will host a trunk show featuring the Diddi jewelry line's fall and holiday collections from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight. Merchandise on display will include jewelry, fur hats, scarves and more, plus you can order merchandise from the catalog that isn't in the store (those items will be delivered by Nov. 1). Snacks and refreshments are available for guests.

4. City Council meeting

The Brighton City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. On the agenda, a contract for   and establishing official hours for Halloween trick-or-treating.
