Here are five tidbits of news and information that we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

1. The weather

Partly sunny skies are expected today with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. and a high near 66, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.

2. Fuel prices

Here's a quick survey of the top three lowest regular per-gallon gasoline prices in the Brighton area as of Tuesday afternoon, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com

3. Book Signing

, 1836 N. Old U.S. 23, in Howell, will host its weekly book signing tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This week's book is "Death Happened: Now What," by Linda Pouliot.

4. Cruise Night on the Patio

will host its weekly cruise night tonight at 6 p.m. The Fast Eddie Band will take the stage from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

5. Trivia

The oldest church in Brighton held its first service in 1881. What is the name of the church?
