Good Morning Brighton

1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 25 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 14 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

• Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.64

• Meijer, 8650 W Grand River Ave: $3.64

• CITGO, 1050 E Grand River: $3.64

3. Wonderful Wednesday Storytime

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will host its Storytime for young listeners today at 10 a.m. It is geared towards Pre-K age, although all ages are welcome to attend. Ask to sign up for Kids Club and also a Storytime punch card. 10 punches earn a free children's book from a special selection.

4. Breast Cancer Prevention Workshop

Spend the evening with lecturers Darci Noonchester, MS, RD, Linda Allchin RN, Frances Sterling, DC and Beth Hubrecht, Certified Reiki Master to learn about important nutrition impacts breast health and how to prevent future health issues. The event will be held at 10315 Grand River Rd, Brighton at 7 p.m.

5. On This Day in History

According to History.com, on this day in 1937, John Steinbeck's novella Of Mice and Men, the story of the bond between two migrant workers, is published.
