1. The weather

Today will be sunny with a high around 38 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 25 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday morning, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • , 9400 Lee Rd: $3.43
  • , 1050 E Grand River: $3.45

3. Wooden Spoon Raw Bar

will feature its raw bar tonight beginning at 5 p.m. There will be six different hand-shucked oysters, ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, octopus, pastrami smoked salmon, and various crab claws. Rick, the Raw Bar Ninja creates specialty items to feature each week. There is a lobster deviled egg topped with caviar and a spicy tuna tartare. Prices range from $1.75-2 each for oysters; all other specialties range from $2 to $8 per item.

4. Daddy-Daughter Dance

The Howell Area Parks and Recreation Authority will host a Daddy-Daughter Dance tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Crystal Gardens. Cost is $20 per couple and $6 per additional guest. Call 517-546-0693 for reservations or more information.
