1. The weather

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Monday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Teen Writers' Workshop

The will host a Teen Writers' Workshop today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Poets, songwriters, storytellers and dreamers can drop in with their original work and thoughts about writing. Award-winning humorist Mike Ball will help writers hone writing skills in a fun and supportive group setting.

4. Civil War Roundtable

The George W. Lee Civil War Round Table will meet today at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital, located at 620 Byron Rd. in Howell. Guest speaker will be Patrick Schroeder, historian at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. He will present a Power Point program on Custer at Appomattox.
