1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 89 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 70 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

MC Sports will host Stuff the Shuttle today from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to benefit the Livingston Educational Service Agency (LESA). They will be collecting backpacks, school supplies and socks for kids of all ages. Whatever collected will be turned over to LESA to be provided at no cost to Livingston County children in need.

4. Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the 29th Annual Brighton Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival today from 5-10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
