1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a patcy frost before 8 a.m., and a high near 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear, with patchy frost after 2 a.m., and a low around 29 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Brighton Optimist Club Meeting

The Brighton Optimist Club will meet today at 7:30 a.m. at the at The Bauery Restaurant. The group has speakers of general interest the first three weeks of the month, and a club business meeting on the last Thursday of each month. Buffet breakfast costs $7. First-time visitors eat for free.
