1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow and a low around 27 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.29
  • BP, 9400 Lee Rd: $3.29
  • Mobil, 9925 Spencer Rd: $3.29

3. K of C Polish Feast

The Knights of Columbus Council 8169 will host its annual Polish Feast today from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2099 N Hacker Rd, Howell. Menu items include kielbasa, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, pierogies, paczkis and rolls. Adults pay $10; it's $9 for seniors. Kids 8-12 are admitted for $6, while those under 8 pay $4. A family with four children pays $40.

4. The Vagina Monologues

The Hartland Players present The Vagina Monologues tonight at 8 p.m at the Hartland Music Hall, 3619 Avon St, Hartland. The Vagina Monologues an emotional roller coaster ride that blends humor with heartrending stories told from the perspective of women around the world. Tickets cost $10 and may be reserved at the theatre box office half-an-hour before show times.
