1. The weather

There's a 90 percent chance of snow today with a high near 18 degrees and a wind chill value as low as -4, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will have snow before 2 a.m. with a low around 10 degrees. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Dems Host Movie, Ice Cream Social

The Livingston County Democrats will begin its 2012 movie night series tonight at 6:30 p.m. at 10321 Grand River Rd Ste 600. The Democrats will show Detroit Mob Confidential, a 100-year history of Detroit-based organized crime. An ice cream social will follow. Suggested donation is $10 or $15 for two people. 4. Legally Blonde, The Musical

Brighton High School presents Legally Blonde, the Musical tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts. Producers note that the musical is the equivalent of a PG rating. Advanced tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for students/seniors; they'll cost $1 more at the door, if available. Tickets available online or call 734-834-09
