1. The weather
Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 41 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices
Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:
- Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.89
- Meijer, 8650 W Grand River Ave: $3.89
- Mobil, 9925 Spencer Rd: $3.89
3. Flapjack Fundraiser
The Brighton Senior Center will hold a Flapjack Fundraiser today from 9:30am-11:30am. $5 per person and $2 for kids 6 & under. Menu includes pancakes, sausage, fruit, orange juice & coffee. Breakfast is held at the Brighton Senior Center, 850 Spencer Road. For more information call Marcy at 810-299-3822. All proceeds benefit the Senior Center.

4. Homecoming Parade & Football Game
Watch the Brighton High School homecoming parade as the 2012 homecoming court, Brighton school administrators and fall sports teams make their way down Main Street to the Dog Pound high school football field at 6 p.m. Then stay to cheer on the football team as it takes on Howell High School at 7 p.m. Tickets for the football game go on sale at 2:30 p.m. and cost $5.
