Great Escape: Thrills, Chills and an Evening by a Fire

It's Haunted Forest Hayride time at the Brighton Recreation Riding Stables.

Now through Oct. 29, Fridays and Saturdays are a scary good time at the Brighton Recreation Riding Stables as the Haunted Forest Hayride returns.

Bundle up your little ones, or snuggle close your partner for a breath of fresh evening air as trotting horses take you on an adventure. Located off of Chilson Road in Brighton, the hayride costs $12 a person.

Hayrides run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and last about 25 minutes. They are just spooky enough for Halloween fun - but won't scare the youngsters. Following the hayride is a bonfire and smores, with more concessions available. Smores are included in the ticket price.
