Library to Host Teen Fitness Fridays This Summer

Starting Friday, the Brighton District Library will host exercise classes for teens.

School's (almost) out, so teens in search of something to do this summer can look no further than the , which is kicking off Teen Fitness Fridays this week.

The program ties in with the library's "You Are Here," which highlights different cultures from around the world.

This week, teens can learn Japanese inspired karate and jijitsu from Lynda Greenland, martial arts instructor, black belt and personal trainer at Ann Arbor-based BalancePoint Fitness.

The class takes place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library.

On June 24, Teen Fitness Fridays will feature the Latin-based aerobic style dance Zumba, and July 8 will feature Polynesian Hula dancing complete with grass skirts and leis.
